Rot-proof bitumen slates
Easy Shingles Special 5 tabs are suitable for waterproofing pitched roofs with a minimum pitch of 15°. These self-adhesive shingles are easy to install on roofs of houses, holiday homes, garden sheds, garages, carports and barns. Because these shingles are lightweight, this product is a lighter and cheaper roof structure compared to other roofing materials.

Step-by-step plan
- Always work on an even, dry and sound nailable substrate that is properly attached to the substructure. One bundle of Easy Shingle covers approximately 2 m² of roof surface area.
- The visible area of the Easy Shingle is approximately 14.3 cm. Working from bottom to top, place a horizontal chalk line every 14.3 cm.
- Begin with a starter row. This is made by cutting all the tabs off a shingle.
- Apply a bead of glue, either Roof Glue Shingles or Roof Repair Regular, where the starter row will be installed. Lay the starter row and nail it down with 4 roof nails. Apply a small amount of glue on each nail. The first row of shingles is applied flush with the starter row and should protrude over the drip edge by about 6 to 10 cm.
- Stagger the subsequent rows by half a tab. For optimum waterproofing, the shingles in contact with the drip edge should be glued with Easy Roof Glue Shingles, Roof Glue Shingles or Roof Repair Regular.
- For the ridge caps, cut the Easy Shingle Standard into three separate tabs. One bundle of rectangular Shingles Standard 3-Tabs covers about 7.7 running metres of ridge.
- Always work in the opposite direction to the prevailing wind.
- Nail all the ridge caps in place except the last one, which should be glued with Aquaplan Roof Glue Shingles.
