Fast-drying bonding varnish

A quick-drying, bituminous impregnating layer based on SBS rubbers. The quick-drying primer ensures optimum adhesion and preparation between the various types of substrates (such as old bitumen roofing, roofing, wood, concrete and metal) and self-adhesive roofing membranes.

    Step-by-step plan

    1. Make the substrate dust- and grease-free.
    2. Stir well before use. Do NOT dilute.
    3. Apply 1 thin layer of Roof Primer SBS by brush or roller at a rate of 0.2 L/m². For surfaces other than bitumen, lower consumption applies; for concrete it is higher. For wood, the consumption is 0.1 L/m².
    4. Apply a 2nd coat after ± 1 h for rough and/or absorbent substrates, such as roof rolls with a slate finish.
    5. Allow to dry until it only feels sticky when touched. This takes ± 1 h depending on layer thickness, type of substrate and temperature.
    6. Apply Aquaplan Adhesive Roof Roll within the following 4 h to prevent contamination by dust.
