Contact adhesive for bonding EPDM membrane to upstands

A sprayable contact adhesive for bonding FlexiFoil EPDM vertically to roof upstands and horizontally to the roof surface (at least 15 cm from the upstand). The contact adhesive should be applied to the entire upstand, the first 15 cm of the roof surface, and the EPDM membrane to protect against the wind. This contact adhesive can be used both horizontally and vertically. It can be applied quickly and easily thanks to the handy spray can. This adhesive is not suitable for bonding seams or accessories.

Step-by-step plan

Make the substrate dry, dust- and grease-free.
Fold back the FlexiFoil EPDM foil 15 cm all around.
Apply the contact adhesive using the spray can to the first 15 cm of your roof surface, the upstands and to the FlexiFoil EPDM sheet itself. Do not apply more adhesive than can be processed in 5-10 minutes.
Wait until the adhesive is finger dry, carefully fold back the FlexiFoil EPDM film and press the film firmly. Make sure there are no folds or any form of air inclusion. When doing this, always work from the middle towards the sides. Then roll it on well with an EPDM roller. The use of this contact adhesive is 0.35L/m² applied on both sides.
Finish the eaves further with an Aquaplan aluminium profile.
