Contact adhesive for bonding EPDM seams and details

A ready-to-use contact adhesive for bonding FlexiFoil EPDM membrane to FlexiFoil EPDM membrane. It’s ideal for sealing seams or attaching EPDM accessories such as rainwater drains, corner pieces or a roof collar. This black contact adhesive must be applied on two sides. It creates a very powerful bond between FlexiFoil EPDM and FlexiFoil EPDM. The adhesive joint is elastic and waterproof. It can also be used to bond upstands.

Step-by-step plan

  1. Make the surface dry and clean.
  2. Seams: Fold the FlexiFoil EPDM membrane back 10 cm. Keep the first 2 cm free for waterproofing with Roof Glue EPDM Details & Seams.
  3. Using a brush, apply the black contact adhesive to the next 8 cm of both the membrane on the roof and the membrane that is folded back. Wait until the glue is dry to the touch. Carefully fold the FlexiFoil EPDM membrane over and press down firmly. Ensure that there are no creases or air bubbles.
  4. Apply Roof Glue EPDM Details & Seams with a caulking gun to the remaining 2 cm. Use a roller to seal the longitudinal seam well. The product under the seam should emerge. Remove any excess product.
  5. Accessories: Draw the accessory on the FlexiFoil EPDM membrane. Keep 2 cm free around the perimeter for waterproofing with Roof Glue EPDM Details & Seams.
  6. Using a brush, apply the black contact adhesive to the area where the accessory will be installed. Do not apply it to the outer 2 cm of the surface or the accessory itself. Wait until the glue is dry to the touch. Install the accessory and press down firmly. Ensure that there are no creases or air bubbles.
  7. Apply Roof Glue EPDM Details & Seams with a caulking gun to the remaining 2 cm. Use a roller to seal the seam well. The product under the seam should emerge. Remove any excess product.
