IKO Armourbase Pro PLUS is a modern and flexible bitumen underlay with self-adhesive strips for overlap. Thanks to these self-adhesive overlaps, you do not need to overlap your low-slope roof (15-26°) by 50%. It is a multifunctional underlayment, mainly used for roof shingles but can also be used for other roofing materials such as tiles, metal roofing sheets, corrugated sheets… The printed grid on this underlayment makes laying the roofing easy. The underlayment also provides increased protection against the risk of water infiltration on low-pitched roofs.

Step-by-step plan
- Lay underlayers as flat and tight as possible, unevenness may later remain visible in the finished bitumen roofing. Always lay the roofing membranes parallel to the eaves!
- For roof pitches of 9.5°- 20°: use IKO Armourbase PRO underlay such that a double underlay is created.
- Thanks to these self-adhesive overlaps, you do not need to overlap your low-slope roof (15-20°) by 50%.
- For roof pitches of 21°- 85°: the entire roof surface must be covered with IKO Armourbase underlay or an equivalent product. This underlay must be laid parallel to the eaves with horizontal overlaps of 10 cm and vertical overlaps of 15 cm. IKO Armourbase Pro, Stick and ECO have 10 cm lines on the rollers to facilitate overlaps.
- Use only as many nails as necessary to hold the underlay in place.
