Topline Nails
For bitumen corrugated sheets
Topline nails are suitable for securing Topline corrugated sheets. These nails work well due to the shape of the nail head. Available in other colours so you can match the nail to the colour of your roof for a seamless finish.
- Seals well due to the shape of the nail head
- Nail colour matches the colour of corrugated sheets

Step-by-step plan
- Ensure that the corrugated sheets have adequate support. The corrugated sheets must rest on a solid roof structure with wooden, concrete or metal rafters. We recommend installing a waterproof layer (vapour barrier) on structures where condensation may occur. Additionally, always ensure adequate ventilation in the building!
- Work out in advance how you are going to lay the corrugated sheets. This will avoid or minimise the need to saw the corrugated sheets. When determining the number of sheets, allow for overlap in length and width.
- Depending on the wind direction, start laying the corrugated sheets on the left or right side of the roof. It is important that you install the first corrugated sheet perfectly perpendicular to the supporting structure. After all, you'll be installing the rest of the roof on top of this first corrugated sheet.
- Always place the first corrugated sheet at the bottom of the roof in the corner furthest from the prevailing wind direction. The sheet should protrude over the drip edge a few centimetres. Make sure the Aquaplan logo always faces upwards.
- Attach the sheets to the wooden trusses in staggered rows. Start each row by alternating between full and half sheets. Work perpendicularly in vertical rows towards the ridge. Make sure the sheets overlap by 2 corrugations horizontally and approximately 20 cm vertically.
- When nailing the corrugated sheets in place, proceed as follows: Put a nail in the first wave and then in the second-to-last wave. This way, you can check that the sheet is perfectly perpendicular to the structure. If it isn’t, you can easily adjust it. When the sheet is perfectly perpendicular, drive a nail into the top of each wave.
- The nails should be nailed vertically through the corrugated sheet. Where two sheets overlap, nail at an angle. Then drive a nail in the top of all waves that overlap and all waves on the lower and upper horizontal beams. Tip: always nail down the second and second-to-last wave and then the rest.
- Distribute the ridge caps evenly along the entire length of the roof. Make sure they overlap by at least 10 cm. Also ensure that the ridge caps cover the corrugated sheets underneath by at least 10 cm. The ridge cap and sheet are nailed 5 cm from the edge of the ridge. We recommend using lead or sealing tape between the wall and the corrugated sheets. If desired, install a gutter along the drip edge.
