Roof Glue Roofing

Fibre-reinforced cold glue for roofing membranes

A fibre-reinforced bituminous cold glue for fast and risk-free bonding of roofing membranes to the substrate. Roof Glue Roofing ensures a strong and homogeneous bond that prevents moisture and air bubbles and makes blistering impossible. An additional benefit of this cold glue is that it preserves the full thickness of your roofing membranes.

  • Glueing preserves the full thickness of the roofing membrane.
  • The cold glue acts as an extra layer of waterproofing and fills small cracks and uneven areas
  • Strong and homogeneous bonding that prevents moisture and air bubbles and makes blistering impossible

Step-by-step plan

  1. First dry the substrate and remove all dust and grease.
  2. Mix the product well with a mechanical mixer to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Repair blisters, cracks and tears in the weathered bitumen substrate with ROOF REPAIR REGULAR or the elastic ROOF SEAL MASTIC SBS sealant. If necessary, reinforce with ANTI-CRACK, a tear-resistant polyester fleece.
  4. Clean and impregnate the substrate with quick-drying ROOF PRIMER ROOFING bituminous bonding varnish (max. drying time 3 hours) to ensure optimum adhesion.
  5. Apply 1 coat of cold ROOF GLUE ROOFING with a brush or floor squeegee at a rate of approx. 1 kg/m².
  6. Roll out an entire roll of roofing (polyester and/or glass fleece inlay) onto the freshly applied glue and press down.
  7. Press the overlaps (approx. 7 cm) firmly and smooth them out with a putty knife. Weigh down the seams for about 24 hours.
  8. TIP: Consult the detailed installation instructions for a professional roof on various substrates. For pitches greater than 15%, mechanically fasten the roofing membrane on the highest side to prevent slipping. Use special, galvanised SHINGLE & ROOF NAILS.
