Step-by-step plan
- First make sure the surface is free of dust. If the substrate is very dirty, clean it with a pressure washer.
- Remove any paint residue and salt crystals with a stiff brush.
- Treat green mould, lichens and algae with Garden Clean Green Remover.
- Seal cracks larger than 0.2 mm with colour-matched mortar or mastic and repair bad grouting.
- Make sure the substrate is reasonably dry before application. Shake well before use.
- Apply undiluted Rain Protect Hydrofuge Liquid with a brush, roller or garden sprayer from top to bottom until the substrate is saturated.
- Apply to small areas and apply subsequent coats while still wet, with a maximum of 1 hour between coats. Rain Protect Hydrofuge Liquid has a milky colour that becomes completely transparent as it dries.
- It can be overpainted with acrylic paint systems.
