Step-by-step plan

1. Gardentop Stick Alu can be installed on the most commonly used substrates: wood, metal, old bitumen seals, concrete, masonry and synthetic materials (except PVC).
2. The substrate must be dry, free of dust, resin (wood) and grease. For wooden substrates impregnated with a treatment product, it is essential to wait until the wood is completely dry before installing Gardentop Stick Alu.
3. The ambient temperature at the time of application should be above 12° C. Always store the Gardentop Stick Alu at a moderate temperature; you will obtain optimal adhesion at higher temperatures. Be sure to level any unevenness in the substrate before installing the Gardentop Stick Alu. It is installed starting parallel to the lowest side of the roof. Respect an overlap of ≥ 10 cm for the following strips. Press the overlaps with a hard roller to ensure perfect adhesion. Peel off about 20 cm of the protective film on the back of the Gardentop Stick Alu. Then place the roll in position with the self-adhesive surface.
4. Unroll the roll evenly, ensuring that no air bubbles form. Immediately push any air bubbles outwards.
5. Ensure good adhesion on the surface to be covered. For optimum adhesion, use a hard roller.
6. If the surface is dirty, clean it and apply Roof Primer Roofing. Allow it to dry for at least 3 hours before installing the GARDENTOP STICK ALU. At high outside temperatures, the roll must be kept in the shade and away from heat, otherwise removal of the protective film may become difficult.
