What’s the difference between Foundation Protect Regular and Foundation Protect Expert?
Foundation Protect Regular: Solvent-based, can be applied at temperatures below 5°C, the substrate must be dry.
Foundation Protect Expert: Ecological formula so water-based, must be applied at temperatures above 5°C, substrate can be damp.

-
What’s the difference between Basement Protect Cement and Basement Protect Epoxy?
Basement Protect Cement: Only for pure concrete blocks or cemented walls (so not painted, etc.)
Basement Protect Epoxy: Can be applied to almost all substrates, including painted walls, red brick, etc.
It can also be applied to the floor; it is hard-wearing.
-
I have moisture in my basement; what should I do?
If water is coming through the walls of your basement, that’s usually because the foundations have not been treated.
It is best to expose the foundations and treat them with Foundation Protect Expert or Foundation Protect Regular.
If this is not possible, you can treat the walls on the inside with Basement Protect Cement or Basement Protect Epoxy (depending on the substrate).
-
What’s the best way to waterproof a basement?
The choice of product depends on the substrate.
Basement Protect Cement: Only for pure concrete blocks or cemented walls (so not painted, etc.)
Basement Protect Epoxy: Can be applied to almost all substrates, including painted walls, red brick, etc.
It can also be applied to the floor; it is hard-wearing.
Holes and cracks must first be repaired with Basement Protect Regular Plug.
-
How do I treat rising damp? Which product should I use?
The choice of product depends on the walls. Are they solid brick or not?
Wall Protect Inject Liquid: Can only be used on solid-brick interior and exterior walls, not for use on high-speed building bricks or cavity walls.
Wall Protect Inject Cream Kit: Can be used on solid bricks, high-speed building bricks, breeze blocks, concrete blocks, sand-lime brick, cellular concrete, and natural stone.
-
Water is seeping into my basement where the wall and ceiling meet or the wall and floor join up (the cove joint). What should I do?
You must break out the corner by chipping away part of the wall and floor, then reseal the joint with Basement Protect Regular Plug. (best to seal with a rounded joint)
-
When can I seal the drill holes after applying Wall Protect Inject Cream Kit?
You can reseal them immediately.
-
After injecting a product against rising damp, how long should I wait before plastering, painting, etc.?
This depends on how wet the wall is.
We usually recommend waiting at least two months so the wall can dry out completely.
-
I used the two-component Roof Coating Gutters but it does not harden. Why is this and what should I do now?
This is usually due to not respecting the specified amount to use.
The product will dry out, but this will take longer.
If possible, it is best to cover it from rain. Any splashed product could produce spots that cannot be removed.
-
I purchased the Wall Protect Inject Cream Kit. When I opened it, the product ran out like water. Why is this, and is this normal?
No, it should be a gel.
If it’s watery, this means it has expired.
Return to the shop with the product and your receipt for an exchange.
-
I used Basement Protect Cement, but dark spots of moisture still remain. How is this possible?
We recommend applying at least two coats, but sometimes the water pressure is so high that a third coat is necessary.
-
When is the best time to use this product? Season, temperature, etc.
That depends on the product.
-
Can I paint my wall after applying Rain Protect Liquid or Transparent?
If you decide to paint the walls a few years after applying the product, it is important to know which product you used.
Rain Protect Liquid does not pose a problem. You can paint over it with any wall paint because it is water-based.
Transparent is made with solvents. If you want to use a water-based paint, it is best to do a small test and check whether the paint adheres properly.
The solvents must be completely dissipated.
Alternatively, you can use a solvent-based wall paint, which will certainly adhere.
-
Do Basement Protect Epoxy, Basement Protect Cement and Rain Protect White also come in different colours?
No, these are only available in white.
All these products are paintable, or you can add a colour pigment when mixing the product to obtain the desired colour.
Do not add more than 4% to avoid affecting the composition.
