IKO enertherm ALU
Most energy-saving insulation
IKO enertherm ALU is a 100% CFC, HCFC or HFC-free insulation board with a core made of rigid polyisocyanurate foam, coated on both sides with a multi-layer gas-tight aluminium complex. This high-quality reflective ALU coating is composed of no fewer than 7 layers, assembled in one complex. It is tested under extreme conditions with regard to water absorption, mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and emissivity.

Step-by-step plan
- Do not use IKO enertherm boards directly on wooden purlins.
- Always install a vapour barrier (e.g. PE membrane) between the support structure (in wood or concrete) and the insulation boards. Ensure an overlap of 15 cm.
- Always start in the corner furthest from the opening (loft opening or door). Install the insulation boards row by row.
- Use the leftover piece as the first piece to start the second row. Always make sure that the joints are staggered by at least 30 cm.
